EU recommends European survival kit!

The European Commission has recommended that citizens have emergency supplies at home, including water and canned food for three days (72 hours), in preparation for emergency situations.
What is included in this Kit?
• Drinking water (at least 3 liters per day per person)
• Non-perishable foods (canned goods, energy bars, cookies, nuts, rice, pasta, etc.)
• Essential medicines and first aid supplies
• Flashlight and spare batteries
• Powerbank and chargers
• Portable radio (preferably battery-operated or hand-cranked)
• Copies of important documents
• Cash
• Warm clothes and change of clothes
• Personal hygiene products
• Swiss army knife, lighter, matches, candles
• Emergency contacts noted
• And, yes… something to pass the time, like playing cards.

The European Union (EU) is preparing for emergencies - whether caused by natural causes, such as fires or floods, or by humans, such as accidents or conflicts - but it will only be in July, when the next multi-annual budget begins to be debated, that it will come up with an estimate of the value.
The EU plans to budget and integrate preparation classes into schools, as well as establish a European Preparation Day. Criteria for essential services will also be developed and access to critical resources such as medical equipment and water will be improved.

All the warnings that the European Union has been giving in this regard reinforce the idea that the future is uncertain and that it is up to each of us to prepare for possible risk scenarios. Portugal Bunkers and Shelters can be your partner!
