Filters organic gases and vapors with a boiling point above 65°C. Protection against inorganic gases and vapors, acidic gases and vapors, as well as ammonia and organic amines. Designed for use with STS Shigematsu full-face and half-face masks.

High-performance respiratory protection system composed of:

• P3RC Particulate Filter, for protection against hazardous solid and liquid particles.

• ABEK1 Gas Filter, for protection against a broad range of organic, inorganic, and acidic gases, as well as ammonia and organic amines.

Compatibility:

• Designed for use exclusively with STS Shigematsu full-face and half-face masks with bayonet connection.
  The P3RC particulate filter must not be used on its own – it is mounted on top of the gas filter (ABEK1) to form a combined filter unit.

Gases and Vapors (ABEK1):

• Organic (boiling point >65 °C): toluene, benzene, xylene, styrene, trichloroethylene, etc.

• Inorganic: fluorine, chlorine, hydrogen sulfide, hydrogen cyanide

• Acidic: sulfur dioxide, hydrochloric acid, formic acid

• Ammonia and organic amines: methylamine, ethylamine, dimethylamine

⚠Warnings and Usage Restrictions

• Oxygen-deficient atmospheres (<19.5%) or oxygen-enriched environments

• Situations where the type, concentration, or composition of the contaminant is unknown

• IDLH (Immediately Dangerous to Life or Health) environments

• Confined or poorly ventilated spaces (e.g., containers)

• Atmospheres with mixed chemicals unless using an appropriate multigas filter

• Explosive environments

• When the filter is damaged or expired

Important Note:
Filter selection must be based on the known composition of the surrounding atmosphere.
When both hazardous gases and particles are present, a combined P3RC + ABEK1 filter must be used.
In case of doubt or in high-risk environments, an independent air-supplied respirator (e.g., SCBA) is recommended.
