The system combines the Sapphire CBRN hood with the ONYX 45 powered air blower, a compatible 40 mm NBC filter and a flexible connection hose. It also includes an integrated drinking tube, allowing the user to stay hydrated without removing the hood.

The hood design does not rely on a tight facial seal around the beard area, making it a suitable alternative for users with different facial characteristics.
